Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II to perform skilled and semi‑skilled duties in the repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds at a Cox Automotive site.
CompensationHourly base pay rate of $22.02 – $33.08. Pay rate may vary based on location, experience, and skill set. Potential eligibility for additional compensation such as commission and incentive programs.
Work Location & HoursWork at a specified Cox location. No remote option. Travel percentages may apply. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate. Management Level – Individual Contributor.
Responsibilities- Maintain all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site.
- Perform minor repairs and general maintenance on heating and air‑conditioning systems.
- Perform routine carpentry work on buildings and offices.
- Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts in machines and equipment.
- Operate snow‑removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
- Ensure all equipment is functional and meets departmental standards.
- Keep buildings clean; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; comply with safety rules.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
- Participate in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, including moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies.
Minimum
:
- High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination (e.g., related degree or certification plus experience).
- Valid driver’s license; safe driving record required.
Preferred
:
- Skill and knowledge to perform light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Physical requirements:
stand, walk, reach, talk, hear continuously; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb as needed; lift 1–50 lbs; visual acuity for close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays.
