Job Summary
Operate a tow truck and front‑end loader to provide towing and loading services for customer vehicles on auction lots and other locations. Safely secure, move, and release vehicles while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
CompensationHourly base pay rate: $18.17 – $27.31 per hour. The rate may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications. Additional compensation through commission or incentive programs may be available.
Responsibilities- Operate tow truck and front‑end loader to secure, tow, and move vehicles to designated areas.
- Affix tow truck or loader to vehicles, ensuring no damage or danger during the towing process.
- Release vehicles safely and leave them in an immobile, secure condition.
- Haul vehicles to directed areas in a courteous manner.
- Scan and record each towed vehicle using TC75 and Lot Vision systems.
- Assist employees and customers with towing, jump‑starting batteries, locking/unlocking, and locating vehicles via phone or in person.
- Transport towed vehicles to mechanic shops as requested.
- Remove customer and employee vehicles parked incorrectly or unsafely and move them to the customer lot.
- Perform routine maintenance on tow truck and loader, including oil changes, lubes, filter changes, and tire changes.
- Operate equipment in compliance with safety regulations and participate in safety activities.
- Run reports to relocate vehicles into the sale TRA area for auction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Work overtime as business needs dictate.
- High School Diploma or GED with5years of related experience; or a higher degree with3years of experience; or7years of experience in a related field.
- Valid driver’s license; pre‑hire physical for DOT medical card.
- Completion of DOT Driver Qualification file.
- Valid ClassC CDL preferred.
- Rollback tow truck experience required.
- 1–3years of experience driving a service/tow truck or front‑end loader.
- Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, walk long distances, stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
- Physical strength to lift 1–30pounds.
- Vision with close, distance, and color vision; depth perception; ability to adjust focus.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Moderate noise level.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical shock hazard.
- Minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month.
- Seven paid holidays annually.
