Advancement Coordinator
The Advancement Coordinator in the
A. James Clark School of Engineering enhances the operational effectiveness of the Engineering Advancement Office (EAO) by providing comprehensive administrative, financial, and operational coordination. Responsibilities include budget planning and monitoring, forecasting and reconciling expenditures, facilitating contracts and procurements, coordinating complex travel and meeting logistics, processing vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with university financial, procurement, and administrative policies. The Coordinator will prioritize and troubleshoot scheduling for the assistant dean for advancement;
coordinate the preparation of briefing materials and logistics for meetings with donors and other external stakeholders; facilitate the involvement of faculty, staff, and students in constituent engagement opportunities; and provide limited logistical support for select corporate engagement meetings and events, as assigned.
The Coordinator oversees constituent data management, coordinates onboarding logistics for new employees, manages the Engineering Advancement Office's physical workspace, plans team meetings and retreats, and hires, trains, schedules, and supervises two to three student assistants. Attendance at events during and after regular office hours, including evenings and weekends, will be necessary. Limited travel, primarily within the Baltimore–Washington region, is required.
Preferences:
- Experience managing budgets and familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Concur, or similar platforms).
- Experience in office management, operations, or administrative coordination, with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and effectively manages competing priorities.
Physical Demands:
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Limited local travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. - Experience:

Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
