OVERVIEW The Global Learning Advisor supports students throughout the study abroad process by providing guidance on academic planning, finances, health and safety, and cultural preparation. This role helps students identify education abroad programs that align with their academic, personal, and professional goals. The position also contributes to outreach efforts, advising resources, and program administration connected to global education programs. Students seeking opportunities to study abroad often need clear academic and logistical guidance.
The advisor serves as an important resource for students exploring programs abroad and navigating the different stages of the study experience.
- Advise students at all stages of the study abroad cycle
- Provide detailed information about academics, finances, health and safety, and cultural matters
- Help students identify study abroad programs aligned with academic, personal, and professional objectives
- Support planning for education abroad experiences
- Contribute to outreach activities related to education abroad programs
- Assist with program administration for study abroad programs
- Support advising resources connected to global education initiatives
- Experience advising students on study abroad or education programs
- Ability to provide guidance on academic, financial, health and safety, and cultural topics
- Ability to support program administration and outreach activities
- Strong communication skills for working with students throughout the study abroad process
