Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Poly‑cleared. Implement, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse research infrastructure systems for Peraton Labs. Work with a cross‑functional infrastructure, security, and software support team, and interface directly with the customer to ensure systems are mission‑ready, resilient, and compliant. Full‑time on‑site work at a customer site near College Park, MD. This position may be eligible for an increased sign‑on bonus.
Responsibilities- Implement, maintain, and enhance research infrastructure systems.
- Conduct system engineering, integration, development, and operations.
- Execute projects, oversee quality, and identify and allocate resources.
- Track financial reporting related to system projects.
- Communicate directly with customers and technical staff.
- Ensure mission readiness, resilience, and compliance of infrastructure.
- 12+ years experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years experience with a master’s degree.
- 8+ years experience with a PhD.
- 16+ years experience required if no bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in IT and telecommunications system engineering, system integration, development, operations, project execution and quality oversight, resource identification and allocation, and financial tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with customers and technical staff.
- Capability to design and deliver technical solutions.
- Experience working on complex research projects as a senior contributor within an integrated research team.
- Must hold at least one active/current technical certification from the following:
- Systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE)
- Information security (e.g., CISSP)
- Networking (e.g., CCNA)
- System Administration (e.g., RHCE, MCSE)
- Virtualization (e.g., VCP)
- IT systems management (e.g., ITIL)
- Project management (e.g., PMP, Agile)
- This position requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Experience specific to system integration, system administration, and/or network engineering.
Target Salary Range: $135,000 – $216,000. This range reflects typical salary for the position, influenced by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, geographic location, and contract considerations. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
