The Opportunity

CACI is currently looking for a Senior Digital Signals Processing Engineer to join our team developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) for the U.S. Army. Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals on a program that leverages the best practices developing DSP algorithms for real-time or near-real-time systems to deliver state-of-the-art capability in support of our nation’s warfighters. As a member of the CACI Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical development on a new project for the customer.
  • Serve as the DSP subject matter expert for RF measurement and mapping activities.
  • Develop and deploy algorithms that estimate Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) within defined accuracy requirements.
  • Process large-scale RF measurement datasets and generate geospatial EIRP coverage products.
  • Lead technical investigations of measurement discrepancies and propagation anomalies.
  • Hybrid schedule available.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Digital Signal Processing, RF systems, or wireless communications.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience developing DSP algorithms for real-time or near-real-time systems.
  • Radio Frequency (RF) and Communications Expertise.
  • Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) Measurement Experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of RF propagation, antenna theory, EIRP calculations, G/T measurements, path loss modeling and spectrum analysis.
  • Experience with SATCOM systems, terrestrial wireless networks, SIGINT or EW systems.
  • Experience designing and implementing algorithms for signal detection, frequency estimation, power estimation, channel characterization, noise/interference mitigation, and direction finding.
  • Experience developing methods and systems to estimate transmitter EIRP from collected RF measurements, calibrate measurement systems, correct for propagation losses, account for antenna gain patterns, and quantify measurement uncertainty.
  • Familiarity with Linux development environments, Git, CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker), Ansible, and Cobbler.
  • Ability to define measurement requirements, develop verification and validation plans, analyze system performance, and support field testing and data collection campaigns.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary teams with RF engineers, antenna engineers, software engineers, and test engineers.
  • Experience processing IQ sample data, spectral data, and telemetry and measurement datasets.
  • Strong understanding of FFTs, digital filtering, estimation theory, statistical signal processing.
