Job Description & How to Apply Below

Wireless Network Engineer

When customers voice a challenge, you instantly sketch the network diagram and instantly see how you can improve it. In a variety of military mission environments you engineer, integrate, and evaluate advanced wireless network technologies, visualizing future capabilities and preempting technical hurdles. You become the trusted wireless networks engineer who turns early concepts into functional prototypes and mission‑ready solutions, drawing on deep experience with operational and tactical radio and network systems, modern software architectures, and a granular understanding of how applications, transports, waveforms, and mission services operate on both disconnected, degraded, intermittent, and limited (D‑DIL) networks as well as resilient, high‑performance enterprise networks.

As a wireless networks engineer on our team, you will support concept development, prototype design, and solution ideation for next‑generation network capabilities. You will oversee research, design, planning, integration, and evaluation of advanced wireless and high‑speed transport technologies by translating customer needs and strategic objectives into actionable architectures and prototype implementations of new and novel solutions. You will conduct in‑depth assessments of customer requirements, perform network modeling and simulation activities, evaluate and optimize performance, and provide technical consulting to define solution requirements that optimize mission application needs.

Your work will help shape how the Department of War evolves and adopts future networking technologies—from exploratory concepts and experimental prototypes to fully integrated operational systems. You will refine technical roadmaps, deliver solution briefs, collaborate with stakeholders, and represent innovative wireless capabilities at demonstrations and technical events. When you master these responsibilities, the next step is to mentor emerging engineers and guide the next generation of wireless networking innovators.

Work with us and help build the future of advanced network technology in defense for the better.

You Have
  • Experience designing, integrating, and developing advanced wireless network capabilities using flexible software architectures and commercial off‑the‑shelf hardware
  • Knowledge of how applications, transports, and mission services interact across contested and bandwidth‑limited environments
  • Knowledge of military radio waveforms, transport, communications planning systems, and mission‑critical networking systems, including interoperability across heterogeneous transports, routing frameworks, tactical‑edge networks, and government mission systems supporting the Department of War
  • Ability to work in Agile development environments with continuous integration and Dev Sec Ops  practices that enable rapid prototyping, iterative refinement, and accelerated delivery of fieldable wireless networking capabilities
  • Ability to establish trust, communicate effectively, and maintain strong relationships with clients, mission operators, network stakeholders, and technical partners to ensure alignment between operational networking needs and technical designs or capability roadmaps
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
Nice If You Have
  • Experience developing modular, service‑based wireless and RF applications using microservices, well‑defined API specifications, and distributed network‑processing frameworks that support scalable, resilient wireless and spectrum‑aware operations
  • Experience with orchestration and containerized deployments, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless platforms, to rapidly field wireless prototypes, automate scaling of network functions, and ensure reliable delivery of RF and mission‑network services in contested or degraded environments
  • Experience applying cloud technologies and modern data‑engineering techniques to host, process, and fuse high‑volume wireless, RF, and electromagnetic‑sensing data to support real‑time analytics, adaptive routing, and prototype…
