Research and development (R &
D) is the lifeblood of innovation and progress. Successfully transitioning R & D products from the controlled environment of the lab to dynamic field exercises is crucial for validating their real‑world applicability and performance. This process helps our clients ensure that groundbreaking technologies are not only theoretically sound, but also practically viable, paving the way for their deployment on mission.
As a Field Exercise Test Engineer, you will support a small team to perform the planning and execution of field test and mission exercises to evaluate Electronic Warfare (EW) and cyber R & D products. This role will support lab and field tests of EW and cyber software and hard‑war systems, including tasks such as the development of field or lab test plans, procedures, and reports;
review of software and hardware to understand functionality; communication with client and operational staff to capture requirements or communicate test objectives; and design and construction of test environments to model real‑world conditions and operational challenges. During an exercise, example tasks include field or exercise logistics, site surveys, site preparation, equipment setup, participant coordination, test procedure execution, and capture of test artifacts.
You’ll have a daily focus on software and hardware tests, development of technical reports, and event preparation.
