Systems Engineer

Job Overview

Nightwing delivers advanced cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission support services to the U.S. government. The role focuses on applying systems engineering principles across the full systems life cycle and ensuring the technical integrity and quality of deliverables.

• Apply systems engineering principles throughout concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement phases.
• Interact with customers on technical considerations, problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Communicate with program personnel, customer overseers, and senior executives.
• Maintain the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of all work performed.
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives and make preliminary recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of work products for Technical Process Areas.
• Analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of the project’s technical design.

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of one year of systems engineering experience; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, architectural design, implementation, integration, verification, transition, validation, operation, maintenance, disposal control, decision management, risk management, and configuration.
• Proficiency in performing analysis of technical alternatives for projects.

Qualified applicants must have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

The salary range is $64,000 – $128,000, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
