Status: Full-Time

Salary: $15.00-$17.00 per hour (experience-based compensation)

The Hotel at the University of Maryland is a AAA 4-Diamond independent property located in the heart of College Park. With 297 guest rooms, 24 suites, and over 40,000 square feet of event space, we offer a refined experience for business and leisure travelers alike. We’re currently seeking a friendly and efficient Cafeteria Attendant to help keep our team well‑fed and energized.

As a Cafeteria Attendant, you’ll be responsible for preparing, serving, and maintaining the employee dining area. You’ll ensure food is presented attractively, the space is clean and welcoming, and all health and safety standards are met. Your role supports the well‑being of our team and contributes to a positive workplace culture.

• Set up and maintain the employee cafeteria for daily meal service
• Serve food and beverages in a courteous and efficient manner
• Monitor food levels and restock items as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of serving areas, tables, and equipment
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with basic food prep and dishwashing as needed
• Report any maintenance or supply needs to supervisors

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
• Friendly, approachable demeanor and team‑oriented attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• A commitment to creating a positive experience for fellow team members
