The Deputy Program Manager will support overall project management for a contracted NOAA program. This is a full-time key personnel role responsible for ensuring the program is organized, compliant, well-coordinated, and able to execute effectively across task orders, technical teams, subcontractors, and government stakeholders.
This role is the prime-contractor program manager for and is accountable for ensuring that Tomorrow.io delivers against contract requirements, task order commitments, subcontractor dependencies, reporting obligations, and customer expectations. Offer of employment for this role is contingent upon contract award to Tomorrow.io. Expected Outcomes The Deputy Program Manager will ensure the program runs with strong operational discipline, including clear schedules, accurate reporting, well-managed risks, documented decisions, timely deliverables, and coordinated execution across Tomorrow.io,
subcontractors, technical leaders, and NOAA stakeholders.
This role is expected to support immediate execution upon award, including kickoff readiness, project management planning, transition execution, recurring progress reporting, risk management, and task order implementation.
Key Responsibilities
* Support overall project management across the IDIQ and task order levels, ensuring contract requirements, deliverables, milestones, and customer commitments are met.
* Manage the PMO operating cadence, including kickoff meetings, biweekly progress meetings, leadership reviews, task order reviews, subcontractor reviews, and internal execution meetings.
* Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule, including task order milestones, dependencies, deliverables, staffing inputs, risks, and key decision points.
* Development and maintenance of core program artifacts, including the Project Management Plan, communication plan, staffing plans, risk register, action-item tracker, deliverables tracker, decision log, change-control documentation, and progress reports.
* Drive task order implementation, including scope confirmation, resource planning, schedule tracking, deliverable tracking, risk management, reporting, and closeout support.
* Coordinate across technical leadership, and corporate functions to ensure execution is aligned, dependencies are visible, and blockers are resolved quickly.
* Partner with Ops to support contract execution requirements, including labor visibility, subcontractor support, ODCs, invoicing inputs, staffing, onboarding, and compliance needs.
* Maintain visibility into program risks, issues, blockers, decisions, and dependencies; escalate items that may affect cost, schedule, quality, compliance, or stakeholder expectations.
