Description

Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, and more.

• Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk), Tier 2, and Tier 3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
• Provides support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Supports the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process.
• Configures and manages UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems; installs and loads OS software; troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components; implements OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Performs account management (establishing, activating, modifying, disabling, and removing accounts).
• Provides configuration management, implementation, and sustainment of compliance with applicable system security controls.
• Performs periodic vulnerability scans of systems.
• Implements IAVA security patches and records patch status.
• Optimizes system operations and resource utilization; performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Communicates and coordinates with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and Information System Owner (ISO) regarding system changes as part of the Change and Configuration Management Process.
• Supports the ISO by completing POA&M milestones and coordinating status with the ISSO to reflect status within the source system of record for security authorizations.
• Ensures IT assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy.
• Applies knowledge of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling).
• Supports the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
• Possesses a working knowledge of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.

• Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance Required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Requires DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification, and Computing Environment (CE) Certification. The CE certification requirements can be fulfilled with either Microsoft OS, Cent OS/Red Hat OS CE certifications.
• Eight (8) years of experience with Service Management (ITSM) is required.
• ITIL 4 platform certification is required.
• If assigned to Directory Services TTOs, experience with Active Directory, Identity Management, SCCM, DNS, Group Policy, Active Role Servers, Privileged Account Management (PAM) Services, and MS Exchange are required.
• If assigned to Desktop & Enclave Services TTOs, understanding of the concepts of mission islands, Trusted Thin Client, and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling) is required.
