Field Service Technician - Field Services
Maryland, USA
Responsibilities- Incident handling: troubleshoot hardware and software failures, repair components, clean, adjust mechanical parts, and install or configure software.
- Preventive maintenance: perform routine checks and refill consumables according to documented procedures.
- IMAC/R: install, move, add, change, or remove hardware and software products as directed.
- Customer training: instruct customers on equipment operation, maintain quality measurements, and follow up on concerns.
- Process tasks: receive incident briefs, update dispatch, provide detailed debriefings, and inform customers of actions taken.
- Continuous improvement: observe problems, report potential issues, suggest improvements, and use corporate knowledge bases.
- Training: participate in hardware and software training sessions and obtain certifications.
- Administration: apply field change orders, provide accurate dispatch information, and prepare service, expense, and attendance reports.
- Security and safety: drive safely, obey traffic laws, protect company vehicle and equipment, and document usage.
- Demonstrated technical, electronic repair, and maintenance skills.
- Working knowledge of technology, systems, applications, and tools used in the office and field.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems and platforms.
- Familiarity with field procedures, practices, and concepts.
- Professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Team‑based orientation and customer‑focused mindset.
- Minimum two years in IT, mechanical, or electronic‑related profession; ATM technical experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree in a technology field acceptable.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation.
- PC literacy and proficiency with relevant tools.
- Knowledge of ATM industry highly desirable.
- Experience servicing NRT Quick Jack or similar ticket‑redemption products in casino environments is an asset.
- Frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Noise level typically moderate.
- Long‑distance driving and exposure to inclement weather.
- Rapidly understand client requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate IT system operations.
- Knowledge of standard networking concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Provide support to end users.
- Comfortable interacting with all management levels.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
- Respond to phone calls and emails for technical support.
- Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
- Install, implement, and configure upgrades and complete onsite solutions.
- Conduct on‑site technical and sales training worldwide.
- Develop, edit, evaluate, and validate training materials.
- Represent the company’s image professionally in all customer interactions.
- Travel extensively (approximately 75% of the time).
- Perform additional projects or duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree or IT/business program required.
- Accredited certifications are an asset.
- Maintain high technical skill level related to in‑use systems and applications.
- Experience with network technologies.
- Proficiency across all Windows operating system platforms.
- Familiar with field concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills across all professional levels.
- Superior organization skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Committed team player with independence in task completion.
- May require license; background checks will be conducted.
- Experience with casino or gaming industry is an asset.
