Adventure Technology Services is a small IT contractor headquartered in Columbia, MD that provides high level solutions to Federal Government customers and is always looking for high quality professionals to join our team.

DescriptionThe Level 2 System Administrator (SA) shall possess the following capabilities:
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support to IT systems including day‑to‑day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Provide in‑depth experience in trouble‑shouting IT systems
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Bachelor and 10 years or High School and 15 years, IAT level II Cert is required
Salary Range$115,000-$130,000
Salary ranges are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to:
Knowledge, skills, & abilities;
Years of experience;
Education/Certifications;
Program placement;
Duties & responsibilities;
Internal equity. More detailed information will be provided once those factors are known and addressed.
40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on‑call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.
Bonus StatementAll billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)
