Assistant Research Professor
The Institute for Bioscience and Biotechnology Research (IB ) is seeking an Assistant Research Professor in the area of process characterization, modeling (digital twin) and control for biomanufacturing, with a focus on applications to mammalian cell bioprocesses.
The successful candidate will coordinate interactions with internal and external collaborators and facility users. They are expected to be involved directly in research, both through leading their own novel research and through consultation, assistance and/or collaboration on projects with facility users. As needed, they will support and train internal students and postdocs, as well as external users from other institutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
Ph.D. in bioengineering, biochemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, or related fields. - Experience:
At least 3 years of prior experience working with bioprocess characterization, monitoring and modeling; experience in managing research projects, drafting reports and proposal, representing research programs to external stakeholders and providing training in research techniques.
