Software Engineer, Java Developer, Full Stack Developer

Software full stack developer at Nightwing CODEX directly supporting mission‐critical needs. We solve complex and critical problems in partnership with mission customers, developing in an agile environment following the software product lifecycle.

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Analyze system performance standards, collaborate with users or system engineers, examine system flow, data usage and work processes, and investigate problem areas.

This position is a hybrid position.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Seven (7) years’ experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity (or four (4) years of additional experience on similar projects in lieu of a bachelor’s degree).
• Proficiency with React, Material UI, Typescript, JavaScript, Java, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, webpack, REST services, Neo4j, Cypher, Maven, Spring Boot, Tomcat, MongoDB, Docker, and AWS.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical work to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.
