Software Engineer Principal

We’re looking for a Software Engineer Principal who thrives in Linux‑based environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is excited to work with cutting‑edge tools and containerized architectures.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, containerized applications
• Build and maintain secure, high‑performance systems in Linux environments
• Develop automation scripts and backend services using Python (3.x) and Bash
• Work with modern container platforms including Docker and Kubernetes
• Create and manage Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments
• Integrate messaging systems such as RabbitMQ
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab CI)
• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Ansible
• Collaborate using Git-based workflows and modern Dev Ops practices
• Contribute to next‑generation development using Rust (experience or strong willingness to learn)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Strong experience with:
  • Linux CLI and tools
  • Bash scripting
  • Python (3.x) development
  • No
    
    SQL databases (MongoDB)
  • Containerization (Docker)
  • Kubernetes orchestration
  • Helm chart development
  • Git source control
  • CI/CD principles and Git Lab CI
  • Infrastructure as Code (Ansible)
• Experience with Rust or a strong aptitude and desire to learn it

Preferred Skills

• SQL databases (PostgreSQL)
• Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
