Job Title: Nutrition Services Kitchen Assistant

Reports to: Nutrition Services Coordinator

Position: Up to 5.5 hours per day;

The number of days or hours that afood services substitute works is dependent upon the number ofregular employees who are absent on any given day. No specific guarantee of work is offered.

-Must demonstrate sufficient command of the English language to communicate verbally and in writing with students, parents, district staff members and other concerned people regarding all aspects of their job related activities

-Valid Food Handler's Card

• Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
• Generally, the job requires:
  • ~ 10% lifting ~ 40 lbs.
  • ~ 80% of the work day standing, reaching, bending, stooping, walking
  • ~ 10% of the time working from a sitting position
• This job is performed under temperature variations consistent with indoor and outdoor temperatures.
• This job may require interaction with students displaying aggression, non-compliance, and other conduct problems.
