Primary Purpose
:

Under moderate supervision, respond to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and the public; provide requested information and/or referral to the appropriate parties; direct visitors; and provide general clerical support for the efficient operation of the central administration office.

  • Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance
Experience

One years of clerical experience in an office setting

Essential Job Functions
  • Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Greet visitors (e.g. public, parents, students, substitutes, vendors, etc.) respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with district policies and procedures regarding building security.
  • Ensure all visitors follow District Visitor Protocol when entering the building.
  • Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/or security issues.
  • Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties, including sorting internal and external mail deliveries.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical assistance for Central Office departments.
  • Gather and disseminate conference room set up information for Central Office departments.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Report to work in a timely manner according to assigned schedule.
  • Lock/unlock building and turn on/off office equipment on a daily basis.
  • Maintain professional interactions with staff, parents, community and visitors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and withstand pressures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to change in routine and adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Demonstrates respect, courteous to peers and visitors and assist fellow workers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
