The RoleThe Annual Giving Student Assistant communicates regularly with donors and constituents, schedules various fundraising and stewardship initiatives, and works with colleagues to create fundraising materials such as brochures, web pages, and correspondence.
Essential Functions- Administrative support and project maintenance.
- Interface with donors via phone, email, and in person.
- Respond to constituents in a timely manner.
- Perform scheduling for fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with Gift Processing and Stewardship to resolve transaction challenges.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Work in a highly confidential manner.
- Follow through on tasks until completion.
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala, and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.

- One year of direct customer service.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Proficient word processing skills.
- Availability to work 15 or more hours per week.
- Availability to work holidays and between semesters.
- Two or more years of work experience in a direct customer service role.
Ability to sit or stand throughout the day and, occasionally, carry up to 10 pounds.

Education & TrainingRequired:
Currently enrolled at Texas A&M University (College Station) with a minimum of one semester completed.
Preferred:
Same as above, with two or more years remaining as a Texas A&M student.
