Department: Undergraduate Recruitment, Texas A&M University

Job Location: College Station, Texas

Job Type: Temporary/Casual Staff (Fixed Term)

Minimum Salary: $16.25 per hour

Overview

The Office of Undergraduate Recruitment works to recruit and enroll academically prepared students and to provide prospective students and their families the opportunity to explore campus life.

Responsibilities
  • Digital Engagement Initiatives
    • Write and edit blog‑style articles for CampusESP, Zee Mee and other engagement platforms.
    • Develop and maintain a digital content strategy that includes current news and evergreen content.
    • Generate original content ideas, research, and capture student success stories.
    • Monitor engagement analytics and key performance indicators.
    • Collaborate with university departments for content alignment.
    • Assist with proofreading digital newsletters, print materials, and presentations.
  • Administrative Support
    • Process and reconcile expenses using Laserfiche and Emburse.
    • Coordinate with Academic Affairs Business Services for purchases, transfers, and vendor payments.
    • Maintain expense records, track program costs, and provide financial summaries.
    • Liaise with TAMUHR, Transportation Services, and Business Office.
    • Organize and maintain electronic files, records, office supplies, and equipment.
  • Customer Service & Program Coordination
    • Acquire knowledge of recruitment and admissions procedures to assist inquiries.
    • Monitor and respond to the Aggie bound email inbox, addressing information requests.
    • Assist with risk‑management compliance, including student liability form verification.
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal units and prospective student centers.
    • Respond to admitted‑student inquiries via Peer Recruiter email inbox.
    • Provide support on department‑wide initiatives such as Texas Together in the Houston Metroplex.
  • Supplemental Assistance
    • Perform other duties assigned by Undergraduate Recruitment leadership to support recruitment, matriculation, and engagement.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred:
    Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Preferred:
    Degree in English.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with CampusESP or Zee Mee.
  • Preferred:
    One year of experience working with Undergraduate Recruitment at Texas A&M University.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.
