The Texas Real Estate Research Center is seeking a collaborative and customer-focused Finance & Business Services Coordinator to join our team. This forward-facing role requires a professional demeanor and appearance, as the Coordinator regularly interacts with department personnel, university stakeholders, and high-level guests. The Texas Real Estate Research Center was founded in 1971 by an act of the Texas Legislature. The Center's enabling legislation defines a broad mandate to "conduct studies in all areas related directly or indirectly to real estate and/or urban or rural economics." In addition to research programs in residential, commercial, and rural land economics, the Center maintains administrative, data, and communications teams to support its research agenda.

Salary: $45,000/annually

Other Requirements and Factors:
Persons in this position are considered essential when the University declares an emergency, campus closure, class cancellations, etc., and are therefore required to report to work and remain on duty unless/until relieved by the direct supervisor.
Required
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience with TAMU software such as Aggie Buy, FAMIS, Emburse, iPayments, and Laserfiche
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) and general office software.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional tone.
- Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to anticipate needs and solve problems.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Essential Duties/Tasks:
- Business Support
- May enter and review travel expense reports. Meets established processing goals as directed. May prepare and update standard reports. May assist with account verification or reconciliation and research discrepancies. May assist with gathering transaction data/information. - Accounting/Documentation
- Prepares and coordinates documentation of basic purchasing documents including vouchers, payment cards, and vendors. Enters documentation for contracts, receipts, and invoices in the appropriate system with minimal errors. Reviews documents for mathematical accuracy, proper coding, compliance, and approval as directed. Assigns commodity or account codes to requisitions and invoices as directed. May review financial transactions for compliance. - Customer Support
- May coordinate problem-solving and/or training for customers on tracking, payment issues or general expense questions. May coordinate a specialized task for one or more units. May research and communicate policies and procedures to unit or departments. May provide customer service. - Operational Support
- Oversees student worker recruiting, hiring, and other administration tasks. Supports internal and external events as needed. Backs up other operations staff as needed. Interacts with other functional team leaders to facilitate better outcomes. Runs local business-related errands.
