Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Visualization (40%): Create detailed landscape plans (planting, hardscape, and drainage) using LandFX or similar CAD programs.
  • Cost Estimation (20%): Perform detailed material and labor take-offs for residential and commercial projects. Input into estimation software and create a preliminary estimate for review by senior manager.
  • Client Consultation (15%): Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate topography, soil conditions, and existing vegetation in the Brazos Valley region.
  • Sales & Presentation (10%): Present design proposals and financial estimates to clients, providing “value engineering” options to meet budget constraints. Successfully meet and beat sales goals on an annual basis.
  • Project Handoff (15%): Coordinate and support production managers to ensure design intent and budget specifications are maintained during the installation phase. Approve closeout of project.
Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in landscape design or estimating within the Texas market.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in CAD and Microsoft Excel. Experience with estimating software is a major plus.
  • Regional Knowledge: Strong understanding of Texas-native plant palettes and Central Texas climate challenges (Zone 8/9).
  • Green Industry certifications are a plus.
Benefits

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays
  • Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement for site visits
  • Cell phone and computer for business use
