About the Position
College Station, TX – Physician Urgent Care Locum Tenens

Full-Time Schedule Available | 12-Hour Shifts

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an adaptable, patient-focused  Physician  for a full-time Urgent Care locum tenens assignment in  College Station, Texas .

This is a stable outpatient setting with excellent support staff, manageable volume, and the opportunity to practice autonomously while still working within a collaborative team. Physicians with an urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine background are encouraged to apply.

Contract Type:  Locum Tenens

Urgent Care

Hours:

Monday–Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sunday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Shifts:

Full 12-hour shifts Mon–Sat; shorter Sunday shifts

Start Date:

ASAP / ongoing

EMR:  eClinical Works

Support:  Robust MA & clinic support staff

Clinical Scope

Urgent Care for all ages

Typical daily volume: 20–30 patients/day

Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, I&D)

Some Occupational Medicine (drug screens, work comp)

DOT Certification not required to submit — employer will assist if needed

Must be comfortable working independently at times

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive urgent care evaluations for illness, injury, and follow-ups

Order and interpret X-rays, labs, and diagnostic studies

Perform minor procedures and wound care

Manage acute conditions including URI, UTI, strains/sprains, lacerations, and dermatologic complaints

Document patient encounters accurately in eClinical Works

Provide patient education and communicate clear treatment plans

Coordinate care with local specialists as needed

Candidate Requirements

MD or DO

Active Texas medical license strongly preferred

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine

BLS required (ACLS preferred but not required)

Prior experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department strongly preferred

Ability to practice independently and maintain high-quality, patient-centered care
