Purpose:
Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher, and work with individual students or small groups. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher or administrator. This position is Title I funded and meets the intent and purpose of Title I, Part A of the ESSA grant program. The respective employee will be assigned 100% to this federal grant program's single cost objective.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
* High school diploma or GED (required)
* Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as completion of 48 semester hours or equivalent trimester hours) of college coursework (preferred)
* Valid Texas teaching certificate (preferred)
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
* Ability to work well with students
* Ability to communicate effectively
Experience:
Some experience working with students

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher, and work with individual students or small groups.
* Collect and maintain data regarding student work and progress
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Equipment Used:
Personal or laptop computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, telephone, electronic mobile devices, and other instructional technology

Maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting.
