2 PhD Positions in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics Texas A&M University
The joint groups of Artem Abanov and Jairo Sinova at Texas A&M University are pleased to announce the opening of 2 PhD positions in theoretical condensed matter working on the role of interactions and symmetry in alter magnets and other unconventional magnetic systems . The groups conduct research in a broad range of topics related to spin phenomena and theoretical condensed matter physics.
Furthermore, the positions incorporate the opportunity to strongly interact with international and national partners in collaborative projects.
A background in theoretical techniques in condensed matter and materials theory is required. Candidates interested and/or experienced in magnetic phase transitions, interacting effects in magnetism, magnetization dynamics, ab-initio calculations, and/or spin-transport physics are highly suited for this opportunity.
Review of applications begins immediately and will continue until the positions are filled. Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and at least two letters of recommendation to abanov .
