Scholastic Supervisor, Women's Basketball

- Provide academic support, guidance, and mentorship to student‑athletes from admission through graduation.
- Develop individualized academic plans and monitor progress, offering intervention strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with student‑athletes, coaches, staff, and faculty to keep all parties informed of academic status.
- Coordinate Life Skills programming, including events and seminars to assist with the transition to college life.
- Assist in recruiting efforts by evaluating transcripts, scheduling academic presentations, and facilitating tours.
- Serve on department and university committees, representing the Athletics Department at all campus and athletic levels.
- Participate in the development, enforcement, and communication of academic policies, NCAA rules, and institutional regulations for student‑athletes.
- Support and promote Student‑Athlete Engagement events and seminars.
- Engage in professional development and leadership opportunities.
- Maintain continual familiarity with NCAA, conference, and university rules and enforce compliance with conduct, appearance, punctuality, and other standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of athletic academic advising or administrative experience at the collegiate, high school, or junior college level.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer and technology skills for communication, data management, and record‑keeping.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to student development and collaboration with faculty and staff.
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, or related field.
- Three to five (3‑5) years of experience in athletic academic advising or administration.
- Knowledge of NCAA academic rules, including PTD, APR, and GSR requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible, non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Occasional travel for recruitment and committee activities.
- Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage.
