Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor

Description

Tenure‑Track Assistant Professor position with a nine‑month academic appointment beginning January 1 , 2027 in the Department of Food Science and Technology, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M University. The role focuses on dairy science, including dairy processing, dairy regulations, bioactive properties, food safety, structure‑function relationships, and sustainable dairy processing.

• Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program in dairy science that aligns with the department’s collaborative mission.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Food Science and Technology, including development of new courses in the candidate’s areas of expertise.
• Support the Aplin Center and its new dairy processing and teaching laboratory through research, teaching, and collaborative activities to enhance experiential learning and innovation in dairy science.

• Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology, Dairy Science, or a closely related field (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated potential for research productivity, teaching effectiveness, and grantsmanship.
• Experience with transdisciplinary teams and a history of developing a nationally or internationally recognized research program.
• Preference for those whose expertise complements and synergizes with the strengths of the food science faculty.
