Salary: $51,750 annually (minimum $4,312.50 monthly)

Professional Development:
Up to $2,800 per year departmental funding for conferences and training.

• Serves as the primary advisor for the Interfraternity Council (IFC), supporting advising, coordination, administration, education, and training of fraternity and sorority community.
• Advise student leaders, chapter members, and chapters; attend IFC meetings and programs; attend chapter meetings as needed.
• Maintain pertinent student records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Understand applicable laws, policies, and procedures, and provide education and training for chapters.
• Enhance accountability and risk management practices, ensure strong financial practices, and support IFC in understanding infrastructure needs such as student travel, document reviews, inventory management, and risk reviews.
• Establish and maintain essential communication channels with educational and non‑educational agencies.
• Manage a diverse portfolio that supports the operational health and development of inter/national fraternity and sorority chapters—including goal setting, budgeting, alumni relations, risk management, peer accountability, and evaluation of program effectiveness.
• Provide comprehensive education and training that promotes responsible risk prevention and management (local, state, federal laws regarding alcohol, hazing, TitleIX, etc.).
• Serve as a liaison between inter/national offices, local chapters, and the university.
• Support initiatives within the Fraternity and Sorority Life team: goal setting and strategic planning, assessment, stakeholder management, development initiatives, and marketing.
• Stay abreast of issues and best practices related to fraternity and sorority life.
• Act as the lead coordinator for designated operational enhancements and initiatives within the office.
• Serve as an integral member of the Department of Student Activities and Division of Student Affairs, participating on university, division, department committees, and task forces.

• Required
  
  Education & Experience:
  
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; one year experience in student affairs work or a related specialty area.
• Preferred:
  Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field with one year experience in student affairs work or related specialty area.
• Experience as an advisor to Interfraternity, Panhellenic, Multicultural Greek, or National Pan‑Hellenic councils.
• Formal academic or organization advising training or risk management training.
• Significant student group advising, leadership training, and experience in the specific areas and duties described in this position.
• Ability to establish collaborations with on‑campus academic and student affairs departments, community and inter/national partners.
• Knowledge of the influence of college student development on student behavior and decision‑making.

• Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.
