TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, assessments, and content in a hands‑on, applied learning environment. You will facilitate engaging classroom and lab activities, provide mentorship and feedback to students, and integrate technology to enhance the learning experience. Faculty members also serve as ambassadors for their programs and the college, upholding TSTC’s core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity.
Key Responsibilities Instructional Delivery- Prepare and deliver high‑quality instruction using innovative and creative teaching methods.
- Develop and maintain course syllabi and lesson plans.
- Maintain accurate student records and attendance.
- Ensure a safe and secure instructional environment, including proper use and care of equipment.
- Administer evaluations and ensure consistent assessment of student progress.
- Advise students and provide timely, accurate academic guidance.
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to connect students with tutoring, support, and retention programs.
- Participate in student tours, open houses, and recruitment events.
- Assist in developing program plans and strategies to attract new students.
- Exhibit professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative attitude.
- Represent TSTC’s mission, vision, and values both on and off campus.
- Be available for evening, weekend, or summer assignments as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
- Industrial work experience in the welding and fabrication industry.
- Proficiency in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW on both plate and pipe.
- Knowledge of plasma and oxy‑acetylene cutting procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply pipe fitting theory.
- Successful completion of a supervised weld test on site.
- 2+ years of teaching experience.
- NDTE experience and a strong metallurgical background.
- 3+ years of industrial experience in Welding and Fabrication.
- AWS D1.1 or D9.1, NCCER, and/or OSHA 30 certifications.
- Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated expertise in welding instruction.
- May substitute for educational requirements with approval from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Programs.
