Job Description

The Manufacturing Assistance Wage Agency Instructor coordinates, prepares, and delivers Lean, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and maintenance training in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

This position provides training throughout the State of Texas to technicians, managers, executives, and other professionals in manufacturing, commercial, and government organizations.

The instructor delivers courses that focus on proven strategies and techniques designed to help organizations improve operational performance.

Leveraging a solid understanding of adult learning theories and learning styles, the instructor ensures effective knowledge transfer and promotes learner success.

The role also utilizes a variety of media and instructional methods to present course materials and contributes to curriculum development efforts by maintaining course relevance and meeting customer needs.

Reports to the Program Director.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, prepare, and deliver Lean, QMS, and maintenance training across Texas.
  • Design and adapt training materials to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Apply adult learning theories to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Use various media and instructional methods to deliver course content.
  • Contribute to curriculum development to maintain course relevance.
  • Maintain accurate training records and report to the Program Director.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of experience in engineering or manufacturing.
  • One year of experience in adult education and/or training of lean manufacturing tools.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
  • Equivalency options:
    • Associate’s degree plus seven years of engineering or manufacturing experience.
    • High school diploma plus nine years of engineering or manufacturing experience.
    • Either equivalency path must include one year of adult education or lean manufacturing training.
