Job Description

Summary:

The Team Science and Research Matchmaking Lead strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration across TAMUS by connecting researchers, facilitating team formation, and advancing large-scale collaborative research initiatives.

  • Design and implement team science programs and collaborative research initiatives.
  • Identify and connect faculty with complementary expertise across TAMUS institutions.
  • Facilitate formation of proposal teams for strategic funding opportunities.
  • Organize networking events, research forums, and collaborative workshops.
  • Develop researcher expertise databases and collaboration tools.
  • Conduct stakeholder engagement and partnership development activities.
  • Support convergence research and interdisciplinary center development.
  • Provide training on effective team science practices and collaborative leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Four years of experience in research development, team science, facilitation, or strategic partnerships.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of interdisciplinary research ecosystems and federal funding priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently make decisions.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree.
