OverviewThe Department of Biology at Providence College in Providence, RI invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 1, 2027. We seek candidates whowill hold a Ph.D. in the biological science sand preferentiallypost-doctoral experience. Successful candidates are expected todevelop and maintain an active research program with originalscholarship and to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring of undergraduate students.
The successful candidate should be ableto teach General Biology for biology majors, as well as one or moreupper-level courses in their area of expertise, which may include
Physiology, Developmental Biology, or Genetics and Genomics.
The department has outstanding teaching and research facilities including a vivarium, a microscopy and bioimaging suite, a cell culture room, a new spinning disc confocal microscope, autoclave,freezers, common use molecular equipment, and dedicated wet labsfor student/faculty research.

The salary range for this position is between $77,000-$87,000.
