Purpose:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Aggie Fab Nanofabrication Facility at Texas A&M University seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance the development of in the broad areas of emerging memory materials and devices, including post silicon MOSFET-based computing such as analog in-memory-computing or 2D-material based FETs, MEMS devices and microsensors, heterogeneous integration/3D packaging, and other broad areas of semiconductor/microelectronics.
- Nanofabrication in the cleanroom and characterization/measurement.
- Develop microfabrication processes of versatile dielectric thin films ranging from electroformed memristors (non-volatile memories) to defect-free high-K gate oxides.
- Develop and fabricate devices based on such materials, take measurements, analyze the outcomes, and publish the results.
- Work in a team environment and contribute to project management and proposal writing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Doctoral degree
- Doctoral degree in materials science, chemistry, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, physics, chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with various electrical device characterizations (high frequency pulses, cryogenic, high temperature environment, etc.) is also a strong plus.
- Ample experiences in nanofabrication in general.
- Experience with fabricating memristors (HfOx, Ta2O5, TiO2, etc.) and other non-volatile memory thin films.
- Experience with fabricating high-k gate oxide films (HfO2, ZrO2, etc.) for advanced field effect transistors.
- Experience with fabricating MEMS and microsensor devices.
- Experience with heterogenous integration and 2.5D/3D packaging.
- Experience in other semiconductor/microelectronic device fabrication.
