Job DescriptionPurpose:
The Research Engineer IV will conduct experimental research on emerging electronic and optoelectronic materials and devices for next-generation AI hardware applications. The candidate should have research experience in semiconductor materials and devices, nanomaterial synthesis and processing, nanofabrication, microscopic and spectroscopic characterization of materials, and testing of electronic or optoelectronic devices. The researcher will also assist and advise graduate and undergraduate students in the group, and collaborate within a team environment.
- Conduct experimental research on emerging electronic and optoelectronic materials and devices for next-generation AI hardware applications.
- Assist and advise graduate and undergraduate students in the group.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six years of related experience.
- PhD in electrical engineering, materials science and engineering, applied physics, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Expertise in semiconductor materials and devices, nanomaterial synthesis and processing, nanofabrication, microscopic and spectroscopic characterization of materials, and testing of electronic or optoelectronic devices.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- Main Campus – College Station, TX.
