Survey Manager (RPLS) – College Station, TX Overview

Our client is seeking a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to lead and grow their survey operations in the Bryan/College Station market. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced survey professional who enjoys leading teams, managing client relationships, and driving project success while helping shape the future of a growing survey department.

The Survey Manager will oversee field and office staff, ensure the successful delivery of projects, mentor junior survey professionals, and work closely with clients and company leadership to support continued growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day survey operations for the Bryan/College Station office.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop field crews, survey technicians, SITs, and office staff.
  • Oversee project scheduling, staffing, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Review and seal survey deliverables in accordance with Texas Board rules.
  • Manage a variety of projects including:
  • Commercial land development
  • ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
  • Topographic surveys
  • Boundary surveys
  • Construction staking
  • Municipal and infrastructure projects
  • Maintain strong client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project management, and leadership teams.
  • Assist with proposal development, project scoping, and business development efforts.
  • Ensure QA/QC standards and safety procedures are consistently followed.
Qualifications
  • Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) required.
  • 8+ years of surveying experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience managing both office and field survey operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas boundary law and surveying standards.
  • Experience with land development, commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with survey software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Trimble Business Center, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and client relationships.
