LocationThis position is based at our Headquarters in College Station, Texas. Other offices may be considered if space is available.
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline and seven (7) or more years of experience in banking, credit analysis, financial/accounting services, or audit.
- Previous experience as a credit analyst or loan officer preferred.
- Responsible for overall management of the Internal Credit Review (ICR) department.
- Supervision and development of personnel, assessment of association risk identification, and credit administration practices.
- Select, train, develop, motivate, evaluate, and manage internal credit review staff.
- Assist with developing and implementing an annual risk assessment and credit review plan.
- Conduct reviews consistent with procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare well‑organized work papers that document work performed and support conclusions.
- Prepare meeting documents and reports for internal reviews and communicate identified risks.
- Articulate conclusions regarding risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Initiate specialized projects or targeted reviews as required.
- Report findings to the Audit Committee and follow up on management responses.
- Coordinate with external auditors, the bank, and association staff to reduce redundancy.
- Maintain a positive and professional image in all communications.
- Assist other departments with special projects such as due diligence reviews.
- Perform other department‑related tasks as assigned.
- Foster a team environment and serve as a resource for staff.
- Specialized knowledge of accounting and financial systems.
- Specialized knowledge of accounting/financial principles.
- Specialized knowledge of industry standards, internal controls, and internal audit practices.
- Knowledge of credit products, market trends, and/or loan procedures.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform intermediate level accounting and audit analyses under limited supervision.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships.
