Description
We are seeking an Associate Financial Planner to support the development and delivery of comprehensive financial planning advice while continuing to grow toward becoming a Financial Planner at Briaud.
This role is designed for individuals who have passed the CFP® examination and are committed to building a long-term career in financial planning. Associate Financial Planners work alongside our Financial Planners, Senior Financial Planners, and Advisors while developing the experience, judgment, and client‑facing skills necessary to advance into a Financial Planner role.
This is a role for someone who is intellectually curious, eager to learn, and motivated by continuous growth. You enjoy solving problems, asking thoughtful questions, and understanding the "why" behind planning recommendations. You recognize that becoming a great Financial Planner requires both technical knowledge and practical experience, and you are committed to developing both.
You will contribute to the planning process, support client relationships, and continue building the skills necessary to become a trusted Financial Planner and advisor.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial plans for clients.
- Develop retirement projections, income tax projections and estimates, risk management analyses, and estate planning analyses with support and guidance from Financial Planners, Senior Financial Planners, and Advisors.
- Support Financial Planners and Advisors through financial planning research unique to each client.
- Serve clients by assisting with account establishment, money movement, and other client requests.
- Participate in client meetings and planning discussions to continue developing technical knowledge, planning judgment, and client‑facing skills.
- Have a genuine passion for financial planning and serving clients.
- Are eager to learn from experienced planners and advisors.
- Enjoy research, problem‑solving, and understanding the details behind recommendations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
- Are highly detail‑oriented and committed to producing accurate work.
- Embrace coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Aspire to grow into a Financial Planner role.
- CFP® examination passed.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in financial planning, client service, operations, or wealth management preferred.
