The Director of Investments is responsible for conducting investment research, analyzing markets and securities, and developing investment recommendations. This position plays a key role in portfolio construction, investment strategy, and ongoing portfolio oversight. This is a research-heavy, analytical role within a small, collaborative, values-driven firm where sound judgment, initiative, and attention to detail are essential.
This role has an ideal start date of May 2027.We are open to Seniors graduating in Spring of 2027.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct research and analysis on securities, funds, managers, and market trends
- Monitor economic and market developments and identify investment opportunities and risks
- Evaluate portfolio holdings and investment strategies
- Develop investment recommendations based on client goals, risk tolerance, and financial plans
- Assist with portfolio construction, asset allocation and rebalancing
- Monitor portfolio performance and make recommendations as appropriate
- Support firm leadership with investment strategy and portfolio management
- Participate in investment committee discussions and research initiatives
- Report directly to the Owner/President of the firm
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields
- (Texas A&M University or affiliated institutions strongly preferred)
- 2-3 years of full or part-time experience in investment research, portfolio management, financial analysis, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of investments, markets, asset allocation and portfolio construction
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently
- Financial services experience preferred
- This position is full-time, on-site in College Station, Texas (not remote)
- Occasional evening or off-site commitments may be requested for client and community events
- Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications
