** POSITION PROFILE:
** Responsible for performing close of day scenarios for the hotel Guest Service area and account for daily activity by organizing and verifying information; identifying and correcting discrepancies; posting accounts; running and distributing daily reports.#

** High school diploma or equivalent experience. College degree preferred.

* Experience:

** Six to twelve months of employment in a related position or office setting with this company or other organizations. Accounting or hospitality experience a bonus.

* Skills and Abilities:

** Requires having excellent computer and cash handling skills, ability to stand for extended periods of time; present a sociable, outgoing, lively and guest service-oriented demeanor. Ability to adapt to changing guest needs. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job. Good judgment and ability to resolve conflicts effectively. * Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlets' (e.g. restaurants, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
* Follow all specified procedures to reconcile cashier’s reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shifts.
* Follow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions and final reports to accounting.
* Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
* Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing.
