Room Attendant / Housekeeper

Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, College Station, TX.

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of assigned guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, and public areas to meet hotel standards and provide exceptional guest satisfaction.

The Housekeeping Department includes Room Attendant, House Attendant, and Lobby Attendant positions. The goal is to consistently achieve high standards of cleanliness and service.

• Starts at $14.00 per hour, increases to $15.00 per hour after 6 months.
• Possible increase to $15.00 or $16.00 per hour based on experience.
• Overnight positions start at $15.00 per hour.
• Paid biweekly.

24/7, 365 days. Candidates must work:
Texas A&M football game days, ring days, graduations, and other high‑occupancy events.

• Part‑time: 8‑29 hours per week depending on business forecast.
• Full‑time: 30‑40 hours per week depending on business forecast. Days and weekends vary with business forecast.

Shift example: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, projected 6‑8 hour shifts. Weekend work required.

• Daily change of soiled linens on beds and remaking beds following property standards.
• Thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, furnishings, hallways, and restrooms.
• Maintain orderly work cart and storage spaces.
• Proper use and care of equipment, devices, supplies, and guest amenities.
• Follow lost and found procedures; never remove items from occupied rooms.

• Housekeeping or custodial experience desirable.
• Positive engagement with guests and team members in a pleasant manner.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and independently.
• Physical ability to traverse, lift, push, and perform tasks over an extended period.
• Effective communication with a positive attitude and integrity.
• Reading skills to interpret numbers and text instructions.
• Awareness of safety hazards and reporting to leadership. Follow COVID and Bloodborne Pathogens programs.
• Use of hotel mobile devices for service and work orders; training provided.

$14.00/hr – $16.00/hr based on qualifications and experience.
