The Front Office Agent is responsible for providing friendly, efficient registration, guest settlement, and information to all guests, fellow employees, and visitors.
ScheduleThe hospitality industry operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Texas A&M football game days, Ring Days, graduations, and other high‑occupancy events. Overtime may be required when business levels call for it. Part‑time hours range from 16 to 29 hours per week depending on business needs.
EssentialFunctions
- Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established
- Provide exceptional customer service with a smile and empathy
- Thoroughly complete all guest transactions
- Promote and sell special hotel programs
- Interact with fellow team members professionally and assist other departments with necessary information
- Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and hotel policies
- Maintain house bank, including cash handling
- Maintain hotel gift shop and process checkout for guests in the shop
- Communicate all pertinent information to Front Office Managers and Supervisors
- Follow procedures for posting, charges, cashing checks, tax information, safe deposits, and refunds
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Levelheaded, patient, even‑tempered demeanor
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment
- Works well on a team but can also work independently when needed
- Strong computer skills
- $12 per hour, increases to $13 after 1,000 hours worked
