The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for daily operational tasks within the global Network and Data Center team, across several technologies such as Cisco and Palo Alto. Daily tasks include performing system health checks, maintaining clean IT rooms, and managing ITSM queues for incidents and requests. The role also supports project delivery and collaborates beyond traditional IT silos to build relationships with all IT service user towers.
The Engineer will interact with senior-level stakeholders globally regarding technical requirements and delivery, handling both business‑as‑usual and project‑wise infrastructure needs.

Job DescriptionAs a Senior Network Engineer, you will update and mature infrastructure processes and documentation to ensure reliable and compliant network infrastructure. You will partner with team members to create ITKBs that support incident resolution by the Service Desk, manage daily onsite tasks in the data center, and participate as an active member of the global network and data center team. A rotating on‑call duty with the rest of the team is required.
PrincipalAccountabilities
- Lead day‑to‑day support and availability of the Texas network infrastructure, including building, configuring, administering, and supporting network technologies.
- Develop and maintain technical network documentation.
- Provide project support to drive local and global IT initiatives.
- Work with FDB technical architects to translate architectural designs into operational solutions.
- Act as the technical lead for network infrastructure support, availability, and monitoring.
- Brief senior IT management on technology support and availability needs, producing solution documents and reports.
- Mentor peers and help build IT/OT technical solutions globally, ensuring secure‑by‑design methodology.
- Deliver cross‑functional technical support for project work packages, design requirements, and procedures related to enterprise‑level IT/OT systems.
- Collaborate with the global network team to mature the network platform at North Carolina sites.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or relevant technical certifications.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Cisco switching and routing, Cisco Meraki, Cisco wireless, and Palo Alto firewalls or equivalent technologies.
- Proven experience with Service Now or other ITIL tools.
- Experience with SNMP monitoring tools.
- Experience managing server rooms / IT rooms.
- Experience in a GMP‑regulated environment is desired.
- Travel will be required.
The Senior Network Engineer will work within the broader Digital Technologies organization, interacting with vendors to ensure solutions are secure and meet business technical requirements. You will provide technical input into external and internal audits about IT designs and services and advise on decisions in consultation with IT and business leadership.
