The Welding Technician is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards. This role supports production and maintenance operations by fabricating, assembling, repairing, and modifying metal components and structures to ensure operational efficiency and product quality.

DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using processes such as MIG, TIG, flux-core, or stick welding as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Fabricate metal parts, assemblies, and fixtures to specified tolerances
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy
- Set up and maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas
- Perform basic grinding, cutting, and metal preparation tasks
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Document work completed and report any quality or equipment issues
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a welder or welding technician
- Proficiency in one or more welding processes (MIG/TIG preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding certification(s) (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial fabrication
- Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges)
- Basic knowledge of metal properties and fabrication methods

- Exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes
- Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion required
