FACILITIES TECHNICIAN, WW HAULER - TEMPORARYThis role is responsible for on-site water and wastewater (WW) management to keep trailers, restrooms, and food service operational.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Pump out black-water tanks from the office trailer, restroom trailers, and Air streams using a specialized vacuum/pump truck
- Fill potable-water tanks on Air streams, restroom trailers, food trucks, and mess-hall tanks
- Drive and operate a dedicated water/wastewater truck; connect and disconnect hoses for each fill or pump-out cycle
- Regularly check tank levels and schedule service to prevent running out of potable water or overflowing holding tanks
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of professional experience hauling water and wastewater
- Class B CDL with Tank Endorsement
- Valid driver s license
- 5+ years of professional driving experience
- Professional experience hauling wastewater
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- WW / Hauling background
- Experience servicing waste tanks and wastewater systems
- Ability to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal notice
- Ability to travel to other SpaceX sites as needed
- Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.; lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, are required to perform the functions of this position
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
