Job Summary And Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. • Assessment:
  Conduct admission and ongoing assessment of the patient’s condition. Provide nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Notify the doctor of changes in assessment that require attention.
• Planning:
  Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care, patient/family teaching, and the transition of care plan, including a safe and appropriate discharge. Collaborate with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulate a plan of care and daily goals that consider the patient’s individualized needs.
• Implementation:
  Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies to help reduce patient anxiety. Know patients’ conditions and report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader, and/or physician. Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications.
• Evaluation:
  Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions. Notify the physician as necessary to modify interventions. Adjust nursing care to meet the patient’s emerging and changing needs.

  Give and receive reports using Bedside Shift Report, including family participation. Provide an accurate and comprehensive report to the oncoming shift to help establish continuity of patient care. Receive report from the off-going shift and delegate tasks as needed to maintain continuity of care according to coworkers’ experience, abilities, and the patient’s acuity.
• Environment & Patient Safety:
  Maintain a safe patient environment and work area. Promptly remove used and soiled equipment and linen to appropriate locations. Align with national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety and satisfaction. Report all patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.

• Associates in Nursing or Diploma; at least one (1) year of RN experience (upon hire)
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements (upon hire)
• Registered Nurse: TX (upon hire)
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) upon hire
