Status: Part-Time
Schedule: Minimum of 4 twelve-hour shifts per month; clinic hours are 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in College Station, Texas
. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast‑paced, well‑supported urgent care environment.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory testing and imaging

Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, wound management, splinting, and other procedures as appropriate

Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)

Code and bill services appropriately

Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

Practice in alignment with Next Care clinical standards, protocols, and core values

Required Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license

Nurse Practitioner:
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification through ANCC or AANP

Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)

Ability to evaluate and treat patients of all ages

Current BLS certification

Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)

Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (certification fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience

Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care

Experience with initial X‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
