Pay $40/hr., with $2 night shift differential
Schedule 7pm to 7am

JOB SUMMARYThe Registered Nurse provides professional, direct client care ina medical detoxification and residential program settings in accordance with established program procedures. This position provides, delegates,coordinate sand evaluates patient care through the collaborative efforts of health team members andin accordance withthe nursing process and standards of care and practice.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee fulfillment of patient’s medical orders, address patient medical concerns.
- Triage medical concerns, administer medications and injections to patients as directed by directed physician.
- Monitors Client self-administration of medication.
- Serve as first line in any medical emergency andworkswith the clinical team in incidences of psychiatric emergencies.
- Perform laboratory procedures from specimen collections, as authorized.
- Record patient observations and activities in patient records accurately andtimelyin accordance with nursing standards and organizational policy and procedure.
- Communicate with patients, physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.
- Oversee all aspects of admission/discharge process, including:
- Pre-screenofnew patients for appropriateness for admission.
- Obtain physical assessment data and health history.
- Inventory and caring for patients’ personal possessions.
- Complete discharge paperwork.
- Provide quality assessments to client’s medication sheets and files todetermineif clients are receiving appropriate medication in a timely manner, including proper destruction of medication.
- Follow all policies and procedures with regard topatient information protection, including alcohol-drug patient confidentiality and HIPAA.
- Attend training on chemical dependency as required.
- Maintains and adheres toestablishedinfection control/employee health program.
- Maintain anddemonstratesa current working knowledge of applicable clinical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with current clients, family members,referrals sources and vendors.
- High school diplomaor equivalent
- Completion ofaccreditedRN program,required.
- Associates or Bachelor’sdegree, preferred.
- Current, valid RN license.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years of experience in behavioral health or residential detoxification programsettingis preferred.
