The Quality Control Raw Materials Chemist III, with limited supervision, will participate in the Technology Transfer of established methods into the FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Diosynth Texas (FDBT) Quality Control Laboratory. After tech transfer, the candidate will perform in-process, release, and stability testing using established analytical methods.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as SME for raw material release and chemical analysis.
  • Collaborate on or approve item specifications.
  • Coordinate raw material sampling, testing, and release.
  • Assist with outsource lab testing audits and data reconciliation.
  • Train and mentor technicians.
  • Prepare monthly raw material release metrics and maintain supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness, update SOPs, and follow complex procedures.
  • Follow good documentation practices and provide timely reports.
  • Maintain safety and orderliness of the lab area.
  • Report OOS results and support investigations.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to analyze data, assess assay/system suitability, and understand processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Independence and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with pipetting.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and chemical hazards.
  • Attention to detail and computer proficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Chemistry/Biochemistry with 3 years of lab experience, or
  • Associate’s in Chemistry/Biochemistry with 5 years of lab experience; 2 years in GMP/GxP environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with monoclonal antibody testing and troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Use of PPE and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
