Laboratory Coordinator I or II
Full‑time position at Zachry Common Labs, Texas A&M Engineering, College Station, TX.
Job Type: Staff
Location: College Station, Texas
Purpose: Serve as an operational and administrative partner to the Senior Laboratory Coordinator, managing daily logistics, equipment, inventory, and safety for a multi‑floor lab facility.
Responsibilities- Maintain equipment to meet seasonal demand.
- Coordinate with vendors for repair and maintenance.
- Train student workers and staff.
- Enforce PPE rules and safety protocols.
- Manage daily lab operations and inventory of supplies.
- Keep up with latest technology and equipment; advise on future purchases.
- Document SOPs and training manuals.
- Assist with long‑term lab organization.
- Serve diverse customer groups.
- Maintain reference materials, SDS, calibration, and safety data forms.
- Support research activities.
- Lead staff in development, planning, training, and support of facility users.
Laboratory Coordinator I: Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of related experience (or equivalent combination). High School diploma with 5 years of experience or Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience.
Laboratory Coordinator II: Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination). High School diploma with 6 years of experience or Associate’s degree with 4 years of experience.
Other RequirementsMay be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Must comply with lab safety PPE requirements.
